Dear Citizens of Hampton,

Welcome to my Jim Adams for Hampton Sheriff campaign website!

It is with pride and determination that I announce that I have filed for election to the Constitutional Office of Hampton Sheriff in 2013.

As I begin my 2013 campaign to be elected as your Sheriff, I would like to thank those of you who supported and voted for me in the 2009 Hampton Sheriff general election. I truly appreciate it!

In the 2009 general election there were approximately 30,000 votes cast in the three-candidate race for Sheriff. More than 14,500 Hampton voters, 47% of you, voted to make a change in leadership in the Sheriff’s Office as you opted to vote for a candidate other than the incumbent Sheriff. There is even more reason to make a change now!

Even though I fell short in my bid to be elected Sheriff in 2009, I was very encouraged by the 10,575 votes that I received. As I forge ahead with my 2013 campaign, I consider those 10,575 votes to be a starting point, a number to build on in my pursuit to become your elected Sheriff.

For those of you who voted for one of my opponents in 2009, I simply ask that you take the time to follow my campaign this year as I embark on a journey to bring integrity, ethics and a new prospective in leadership to the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.

I promise you that I am up to the challenge once again, and with your help I will be successful in my bid to become Hampton’s Sheriff. A Sheriff you can be proud of!
